  One team

A well-coordinated team of highly qualified engineers from various fields who collaborate on an interdisciplinary level to design top-tier projects.

This is who we are:

Goal-oriented, professional, curious, and innovative – that’s us: the HOLDFORT team.

We bring together architects, civil engineers, programmers, and engineers from the fields of structural engineering, mechanical engineering, automation, and planning. By complementing each other’s strengths, we provide the best possible services as a whole.

With over30 highly qualified employees, we can assemble an optimal team for each project.

We use our drive and commitment to energize, engage, and inspire others. With our spirit, we take on challenges, push boundaries, and experiment to create a better and more sustainable future.

Formerly known as PMJ Structural Engineering, we’ve been active in the German market for over 20 years.

Other values:
Belief in people
Strength through teamwork
Quality in every action
Exceeding every expectation
Leadership through example
Striving for perfection
Taking responsibility
Committed with heart and mind

For many years, we have not only collaborated on diverse projects but also supported one another through training and integration activities that strengthen our sense of community. This shared journey fuels our identification with the HOLDFORT brand and drives us to push both ourselves and the company to new heights.

WHO ARE WE?

We are a team of experienced engineers—primarily in civil engineering, but also in mechanical engineering and automation. We handle the full scope of construction planning, from initial concepts and structural analysis to detailed workshop drawings. In addition, we design state-of-the-art industrial facilities, particularly for the automotive and energy sectors, and manage projects on behalf of investors. When documentation is missing for renovation or conversion projects, we use laser scanning to generate 3D models and construction drawings. With a forward-thinking mindset and progressive approach, we help build the future.

HOW DO WE WORK?

We meet the specific      requirements of our customers from across Europe with openness and      flexibility. We carry out entrusted tasks precisely and on time. By      utilizing the latest 3D BIM technologies, we provide high-quality project      solutions, adapting them to evolving parameters. As experienced project      managers, we ensure reliable budget control and address potential risks      promptly. Your vision of a revolutionized industry inspires and      challenges us, and we embrace it with enthusiasm.

Why holdfort?

We don't focus on how much quality costs or how it can be balanced with deadlines and project profitability because we have found a way to combine these three seemingly contradictory goals.

At HOLDFORT, we have managed to combine the pursuit of low costs with adherence to deadlines and quality

Planning with 3D BIM

Planning with the help of 3D BIM makes it easy to prevent collisions and errors resulting from inconsistencies in the documentation.

Contact with the customer

Close cooperation between structural engineers and customers is essential to precisely meet expectations

Exchange of information

Constant contact with the      customer and communication in an understandable language to better      comprehend the customer's needs and underlying conditions.

Automation

The automation of repetitive tasks using proprietary software and the elimination of monotonous tasks, which are particularly prone to errors due to fatigue.

Standardization

Standardization of design processes and optimization of work and thus greater predictability of results and simpler quality control.

Development

Continuous improvement of qualifications, development of own tools and standards.

Involvement

Involvement of team members and team quality control at every stage of the project.

Costs, quality or adherence to deadlines?

Many design offices claim to prioritize quality and optimize their projects. Some are ISO 9001 certified, and others even implement selected quality control procedures. Unfortunately, the projects are often not optimal, and many of the procedures are not consistently applied. This is not due to the designers' lack of effort or bad intentions, but rather due to time pressure and the need to reduce costs in response to competition and tight project deadlines.

Effective quality on time

At HOLDFORT, we don't focus on how much quality costs or how it can be balanced with deadlines and project profitability because we have found a way to combine these three seemingly contradictory goals.

From our experience, most major design errors and project delays stem from a misunderstanding of customer needs, the inadequate (though not always insufficient) skill level of designers, or poor communication within the design team. This ultimately leads to the well-known conclusion that the weakest link in the quality chain is the human element. For this reason, we place great emphasis on maintaining strong relationships with our customers, systematically gathering all necessary information to fully understand their expectations, and sharing this information efficiently within the project team so that everyone knows where to find the required details at all times. We standardize all project processes and implement procedures to optimize workflow, ensuring more predictable results that are easier to verify. We develop our own software to automate labor-intensive design processes, which not only increases efficiency but also eliminates many sources of error. The entire design process takes place in a 3D environment, allowing us to avoid collisions and maintain project consistency when changes are made. Our designers are actively involved in the management process (turquoise organization) and are dedicated to teamwork and quality at every stage of the project. Their qualifications and working standards are continuously improved through ongoing development programs.
